Meet Hannah

Hannah Oblock is a licensed Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor based in Salt Lake City, Utah. She earned her M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Utah in 2024.

Hannah specializes in working with people who feel stuck in painful patterns, traumatic experiences, and who believe there must be something fundamentally flawed or wrong with themselves. She views therapy as a tool to help individuals go beyond thinking about problems to actually experiencing a felt sense of ease, peacefulness, and power in themselves. From the security of a caring and affirming therapeutic relationship, she helps clients learn to work with–not against–their bodies. Hannah integrates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and a specialized understanding of how each client’s nervous system uniquely functions to engage the brain’s natural healing process. Hannah has found that the integration of classic psychotherapy techniques with modern research on neuropsychology is a powerful and effective approach to treat trauma of any degree.

Hannah’s therapeutic work also focuses on couples who find themselves stuck in conflict, feel disconnected, or are experiencing mismatched sexual desire and loss of intimacy and pleasure. Using the Developmental Model for couples therapy, she helps her clients begin to see relationship problems from an understanding of their own developmental needs. The ultimate goal is to help partners cultivate mutual interdependence and develop a relationship based on growth (versus need) for one another. By focusing on repairing trust, building emotional intimacy, and centering pleasure, Hannah helps couples reconnect and experience greater relational and sexual satisfaction.

With warmth, presence, and non-judgement, Hannah aims to cultivate a therapeutic relationship grounded in curiosity, flexibility, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. Prior to becoming a therapist, she worked in domestic refugee resettlement programs supporting newly arrived Americans and on urban farms promoting sustainable agriculture and community-based food systems. These experiences and her current therapeutic work demonstrate her commitment to equity, healing, and collective well-being.

Hannah is licensed in Utah and can be contacted at 801-272-8887 ext. 707
