Nora Goppel, Intake Coordinator at Frog Point Therapy in Salt Lake City

Hello! I'm Molly Weaver

I'm a junior associate at Frog Point Therapy

Meet Molly

Molly is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor in Washington, D.C. She earned her
master’s degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University.

She works primarily with young adults navigating the lasting effects of childhood and relational trauma, OCD, anxiety, or worry that feels constant and difficult to control, and the stress that comes with major life transitions.

Before becoming a therapist, Molly worked closely with children and families as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). During this time, she focused on behavior modification and emotional regulation, helping clients take small, intentional steps toward their goals. Most people want change to happen quickly, but her experience taught her that growth often happens in bite-sized pieces by slowing down, meeting people where they are, and trusting that small steps can lead to big change. This mindset continues to guide her approach in the therapy room, where even the smallest moments of progress are seen and celebrated.

Molly understands how heavy it can feel to be stuck in your own head, caught in loops of worry, self-criticism, or emotional overwhelm. In therapy, she focuses on slowing things down and creating a space for clients to notice what’s coming up for them, instead of feeling like they have to keep holding it all together. Molly views therapy as a collaborative conversation, guided by curiosity, honesty, and genuine empathy. She values real connection in the room but pairs it with practical, evidence-based strategies so therapy feels both supportive and productive, moving toward goals at a pace that feels right for you.

In her work, Molly integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge unhelpful thought patterns, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build coping skills and flexibility, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to confront fears in a safe and supported way, working towards reducing anxiety one step at a time.

Molly believes that therapy is more than just techniques. It’s a space to show up fully, explore openly, and feel deeply supported while making sense of your experiences. She understands how scary it can be to reach out for support and recognizes that even taking that first step matters. That understanding shapes how she practices, with openness, curiosity, and deep respect for the courage it takes to be vulnerable. To her, therapy isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about creating a space where people can finally breathe, be seen, and start to heal on their own terms.
